As parents, spouses and business partners, we strive to have the same positive impact in all aspects of our lives. We all have one life to live, and we hope to make the most of it.
Elliot: My wife, Danielle, and I have had many unique experiences traveling and seeing the world; you gain a clear perspective of life when you see how others are living.
When I was just 11, my parents took me on a trip across the world to see different countries in Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe. We hitchhiked and hiked from place to place for months, experiencing different cultures, from visiting with Masai in Africa to hiking to the base camp of Mount Everest in Nepal. Every day offered new challenges and adventure.
My parents really embraced the rawness of traveling. We never did the typical tourist routes. They led us fearlessly into the unknown, embracing every spontaneous detour. That trip changed the trajectory of my life. It made me grateful for everything I have and tenacious in looking for opportunities.
Danielle and I want to offer the same sense of adventure to our kids, Wilde and Pioneer, not only through travel but through any aspect of life. Having built my own real estate business, I hope to demonstrate to my kids that you can forge your own path and take the road less traveled. Whatever goals you have, they are achievable.
Having built a life for ourselves by seeking out unique experiences we can learn from, I know our versatility and flexibility are our greatest strengths. We know that whatever life brings us, we will handle it, even if it looks different than we’d ever expected.
Danielle: Before working in real estate, I had taught severe and profound special education for 16 years. It was a job that was close to my heart, where I was able to work with students, families and our community in a way that felt nurturing to both myself and others. But our whole world changed when our daughter, suffered a severe head injury at age 4.
Having 16 years of experience working with people with disabilities, I thought I had a solid enough background to be there for her. But when it is your own child, things are entirely different. I found that I needed to leave teaching in order to put our family first.
My husband, Elliot, and I devoted endless energy to finding the recovery options that would work best for our daughter. We were so lucky to find doctors, researchers and an educational team that understood her needs and could help both our daughter and us in this recovery process.
During this time, Elliot’s real estate business provided for our family. Eventually, I began doing things to help Elliot in real estate, such as staging, cleaning and organizing. Later on, I worked for my license, focusing on the paperwork side of the business as it allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of how real estate works.
During my time teaching, I would design and create tile installations in the schools I worked in as a way to teach the arts and bring the community together. I also created art lessons to bring into elementary classrooms where art was not an available specials class.
After leaving teaching, I was not sure that I would still have this piece of my life that brought me both meaning and joy. Luckily, I was able to continue to volunteer bringing art lessons to elementary classes. Elliot helped me find a ceramics studio that was going out of business. We built a makeshift studio in our yard, and as a result, I have been able to keep these connections that I love. The arts are a way for me to create, connect with myself and others in a nurturing way, and give back to the community we live in.
Over the past few years, we have seen our whole family recover and grow, and in the space provided I have been able to take on more work in the business. Elliot and I are now able to work together as full-time REALTORS®, trying to help as many people in as diverse of circumstances as we can.
We approach every situation with honesty and the desire to do good for others. We believe in fighting for everyone because we believe everyone deserves the knowledge and care that can be provided by quality professional help. We pride ourselves on working with people from all walks of life, regardless of financial circumstances, because we lead with empathy and a solution-based mindset. We have helped over 120 families avoid foreclosure and have helped so many more find their home. We hope to continue having this positive impact on our community
One of our favorite aspects of real estate is helping people who need extra support to achieve their goals. With the right education and information, we help many families understand the processes and ways they can make their dreams a reality. Part of that process includes having a trusted team of professionals, including lenders and service providers, who share a similar goal as ours. The support we offer lasts beyond the transaction as we hope to be your REALTORS® for life, there for every new adventure you embark on.
Sincerely
